Piaggio.
Although well known in
its native Italy, the Piaggio brand name is surprisingly little known, even throughout much of Europe. However this
is quickly changing, as the Piaggio brand is becoming better and better known for the innovative models, engines and concepts
that are coming from its factories. Indeed during 2007 Piaggio experienced a 1000% (yes, a one thousand percent) increase
in sales compared to 2006, and in 2008 no less than four of the eight finalists in Scooter magazines Scooter of the Year were
Piaggio models. And when you look at their growing range, it's easy to understand why!
The Piaggio range has pretty much covered all the basis. In 2007 they recognised the need to introduce
some lower priced models, and introduced the latest versions of the Zip and Fly. Unlike previous versions (and all the
other Piaggio models) these aren't manufactured in Italy, but assembled in China - however unlike many "chinese scooter
brands", Piaggio uses exactly the same componentry in these vehicles as is does in the Italian models. Costs of
assembly are reduced, but the quality is not compromised - the same 2 year parts and labour warranty exists on ALL Piaggio models
irrespective of country of manufacture, but this bold move allows a much wider audience access to these extremely well built
machines.

Piaggio Zip 50 2-stroke
The Piaggio
Zip 2 stroke scooter was the most eagerly anticipated delivery for us at the beginning of 2009, and it has since outperformed
its expectation. Here at Ace we love the Zip as the quality & pricing of the little zipster mean it's well placed to sell
well while also ensuring that the scooter smile stays on the faces of our customers well after they take their new scooter
home.
So why is it so special? Well, because the engine that powers the Zip 50 2T is the very same engine
that powers the Vespa LX 50 and the S50. That's right, the Vespa HiPer engine - smooth, easy to start and utterly dependable
- but available in a package almost half the price of the Vespa!! Now you can tell why we are excited! In our opinion this is simply and easily the best
quality 50cc scooter for under $3,000. And if you don't believe us, then come and try our demo, and see for yourself.
Key features: Vespa HiPer 2-stroke engine - probably the most
reliable & efficient 2 stroke engine on the market great storage
underseat, hook and lockable glove-box adjustable seat height - the ONLY
50cc with this feature optional rack and topbox to increase storage further Currently just $2,250
rideaway - unbeatable value! Available in red, white or

Piaggio XEvo 250 & 400
With great
looks, splendid handling, and terrific power it's not surprising that we think that this scooter is a winner. Unlike
many other maxi-cruisers, the XEvo is best described as a "compact maxi" - built for freeway travel, yet nimble
enough to be used as an urban scooter. Built on the winning formula of the X8, the XEvo has improved looks as well as
a modified screen to cut down on wind noise, but with no increase in price.
This scooter has unbeatable carrying capacity in part due to the innovative rear boot, which allows two full-face
helmets to be stored underseat. The XEvo and its forerunner the X8 have proved to be ideal for northern-suburbs based
commuters, taking on the Mitchell and the CBD with equal ease. It's perhaps no surprise that we are the second biggest
retailers of this vehicle in Australia.
Key features: - Powerful and responsive fuel-injected engines - both 244cc Quasar and 398cc Master engined models available
- Great underseat carrying capacity - capable of holding 2 helmets
- Choice
of seating and leg positions
- Freeway cruiser with urban handling
- Remote controlled as well as handlebar mounted underseat and boot opening
- Priced at $8,560 for 250, $9,895 for 400 versions
- Available colours: blue, black and gun-metal grey

Piaggio MP3 250 & 400
When it comes to the MP3, people fall distinctly into two camps. Those that get it, and those that
don't...yet. Although it looks like a scooter, and largely rides like a scooter, the reality is that its a different
beast altogether.
The most obvious difference from a normal scooter is the key feature that makes this vehicle
special. The two front wheels, independently suspended allow the scooter to tilt when cornering confer greatly improved
road grip and braking. This means that the chances of the front wheel "washing out" when cornering are minimised,
allows you to utilise corner braking more effectively in emergencies, and stops you in a far, far shorter distance than any
two-wheeled vehicle. So it's safer.
But to simply bracket the MP3 as a "safe vehicle"
completely misses the point. What you need to consider is that with all this extra handling capability, you'll get much
more fun out your ride because you'll be purposefully going out of your way to find some interesting bends that you can hoon
around! The reality is that the MP3 is a total blast!!
And all this should explain why the MP3 has
won the title of Scooter of the Year in Scooter magazine - though it was, of course, absolutely no surprise to us!
Key features: Revolutionary two independent tilting front
wheels Braking distance at least 20% shorter than any
other scooter Can be safely tilted to an amazing 40%
- unprecedented for a scooter Tilt mechanism can be locked
at low speed - no need to put your feet down at lights, or put up on the stand Available
in 250cc and 400cc formatsSimilar storage capability to Xevo
(ie over 50 litres)Scooter magazines Scooter
of the Year 2008!Just
$10,500 rideaway (250cc version) and $11,500 rideaway (400cc version) as Piaggio Australia will currently pay your
